HOW ARE WE IMPLEMENTING SOCIAL DISTANCING?

For us to hold Grit League we are required to comply with social distancing requirements.

Because of this, there is no way for us to fairly hold Competitive Division races in 2020. For this year, we will only have Open Division (Fun Run) races. If you were registered for a Competitive Division you will automatically receive a refund for the difference in price.

For the Open Division we will:

  • Races will start in waves to allow for kids to be spaced 6' apart. The race timer will not start until the last group beings.

  • Registrations will be capped so no more than 40 kids will race at a time.

  • Hand Sanitizer will be available at check in and at any water station.

  • Warm Up laps will be divided into smaller groups.

  • Participants will be instructed to wait 6' back at obstacles (like spear throws).

  • Parents and spectators are asked not to congregate at the Start/Finish line, but to disperse through the course or wait in cars.

  • Anyone who is sick, or has traveled to a high risk area, or has been exposed to COVID-19 within the previous 14 days should stay home. Refunds will be given for races missed due to such circumstances, upon request.

  • High risk individuals should not participate or come as spectators.

  • We won't use wristbands to keep score.

  • Water stations will have single use cups. Participants will need to wait in line, 6' apart to get a drink.

  • We will also consider implementing other protocols which are reasonable and will increase the safety of our participants.

  • Major obstacles will be wiped down with disinfectant between races.
